Further instructions...
The retail price ($1.99), is always clearly specified. MyxerTones.com will never bill you without obtaining your very specific consent. Note: Depending on your mobile data plan, your carrier might charge you to receive text messages or for internet access. If you don't know what plan you have, you should check with your carrier before ordering.
Requesting A Ringtone
This can be done one of two ways...
1- Entering your Phone Number on MyxerTones.com
You send ringtones to your phone by entering your phone number and clicking the send button.
Or you can choose to use this option...
2- Using a MyxerCode from your Phone
Every ringtone that is sold in the MyxerTones catalog has a unique MyxerCode associated with it. You can request that the content be sent to
your phone simply by texting the MyxerCode to shortcode 69937 ("myxer").
For example, MyxerCode "123" might correspond to the ringtone you are interested in. To get the ringtone on your phone, simply send "123" to shortcode 69937 and follow the instructions.
Basic Download Process
Note: if you have a Verizon phone, the mechanics of downloading content are different. See "Special Instructions for Verizon Phones" below.
When you request a ringtone from MyxerTones, the first that happens is that we send a text message to your phone. The text message does NOT contain the ringtone itself - it just contains a pointer to the ringtone in the form of a hyperlink, the same kind of link you're used to following on the web to navigate to another page.
The link in the message you receive will look something like the image to the left, with text similar to: MyxerTones: Song by Flat Town Music Follow the link shown
(The text message may come from 69937, or from sms@myxer.com.)
The next step is for you to use your phone's mini-browser to follow the link in the message. This is generally done either by using a menu option like "go to", or by using the arrow keys on your phone to select the link just like you'd do in a web browser.
See below for manufacturer-specific step-by-step instructions for downloading the ringtone to your phone.
If it's been a while (15-20 min) and you haven't received the message, check with your carrier to make sure that SMS emails are not being blocked (Cingular users especially) and click here to resend it.
