Although New Orlean’s Pfister Sisters can claim no actual blood kinship, musically they are about as close as three girls can get. In actuality, the Pfister Sisters consist of three talented ladies, Suzie Malone, Holley Bendtsen and Yvette Voelker. Although their forte is material from the Boswell Sisters’ songbook, as this album amply illustrates, they can give rhythm and blues, pop, standards, and jazz, a good musical run for their money as well. Formed back in 1979, the Pfister Sisters were brought together by Holley as a tribute to Crescent City’s first sisters of song, The Boswells. This album is a great representation of the Sisters, with something here for everyone. Released in 1995, 16 tracks.
