“I began playing drums and a vocalist for Mr. Aldus when I was 15 years old. I played about 4 months before I decided to form my own Cajun band called the Cajun Fugitives. In the early 1980s I met Jimmy Breaux and both of us were on our own but remained friends. After years passed Jimmy and I met up again and after talking, we agreed we wanted to pay tribute to the best Cajun dance band ever. It was then that we formed the New Lafayette Playboys. We continue to play together and we created these recordings that we hope you will enjoy. I would like to say thanks to the band, Ricky Benoit, Damian Brasseaux, Joshua Richard and Jimmy Breaux.
