“Swamp Country” music, better known as swamp pop music in Louisiana, has long been, and continues to be a very popular style of music that originated in South Louisiana in the early 50s. Having been known as a Cajun country singer throughout my career and a Grand Ole Opry Member since 1956, I prefer to call my style of singing on this CD as “Swamp Country.” I am very excited and proud of this new CD!
