Wilfred Chevis is a true-blooded Zydeco accordion player, coming from the heart of southern Louisiana where Zydeco was born. He was born in Church Point, Louisiana which is about 13 miles outside of Lafayette. It was here at the age of 12 that Chevis first began to play the button accordion.
