True to their Cajun background, the Ossun Playboys perform traditional tunes, but they also like to experiment a little in pushing the limits of Cajun music. The album took home both Album of the Year and Song of the Year at the CFMA LeCajun Awards held in 2000, which is a grammy-style awards ceremony sponsored by the Cajun French Music Association, held annually in Lafayette, Louisiana.
