The King of Swamp Pop, a.k.a. The Swamp Fox (years back), decided to retire from the music scene in 2006 after a career of over 50 years of performing for fans throughout the U.S., the U.K., and several other European countries. An avid traveler, he now had the time to travel to far off places he had yet to visit. In 2007, he could not resist going back to the stage & his fans are glad to have him back. In celebration of his return to singing and performing again, with Johnnie’s help, we searched the JIN RECORDS vault and assembled this collection of nearly forgotten Johnnie Allan hits and favorites. Nearly all of these recordings have never before been issued on compact disc, making this collection another memorable album for all of his fans and lovers of Louisiana Swamp Pop music. Released July 2008, 22 tracks.
